Patricia Anne Zell

Patricia Anne Zell went to meet her heavenly Father on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the home of her daughter, Virginia Nunez and Francisco Hernandez, surrounded by loved ones.

Patricia was born March 3, 1949, in Kansas City, Kansas to Daniel James Collins IV and Virginia Mae (Cook) Collins. Her father died when she was one and her mother remarried a year and a half later to the only “Daddy” Patricia ever knew, Frederic Francis “Fritz” Kropf.

Patricia was raised in Kansas City, Kansas where she was a cheerleader in high school and learned to play the viola. She married Glen Zell in 1969, and they had 4 children. During her career years, Patricia worked in accounts receivable in the sheet metal manufacturing industry. She was a faithful church member, participated in church activities, sang in the choir, and had an infectious smile. Patricia greatly enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards, and watching movies. She loved her family and will be deeply missed by all.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Collins IV; parents, Virginia (Cook) and Fritz Kropf; paternal grandparents, Daniel III and Mabelle (Best) Collins; and maternal grandparents, Dewey and Vivian (Edmondson) Cook.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Virginia E. Nunez (Francisco Hernandez) of Weatherford, Texas; daughter, Heather R. Bosley (Todd) of McKinney, Texas; son, Jonathan C. Zell (Jenneve) of Carrollton, Texas; son, Eric J. Zell of Weatherford, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Daniel Collins V (Carol), Jodie Green, Annette Pollard (Lloyd), and Fred Kropf (Mary); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm St, Weatherford, Texas 76086. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Patricia’s name to the American Heart Association or the American Stroke Association.
