Patricia Ann Berry

July 18, 1932 — June 22, 2014

Patricia Ann Berry, mostly known as Pat, left her mortal body on June 22, 2014.   While we have suffered a great loss, her sweet soul is rejoicing to be reunited with her husband Doug who has been eagerly awaiting her arrival.  Pat was also greeted by her father Bill, who had a mess of fresh fish he had just caught, her mother Myrtle, who has crocheted doilies for the occasion, her sister Doris, her brother Charles, and numerous relatives and friends who are excited to have their friend for a round of bridge or to roll a perfect game on the bowling lanes. Among those who will be joining the festivities later are her sisters Helen and Ruth; her daughter Nancy, and her sons and their wives, Stan and Pam, Steve and Darlene, and Mark and Lauri. Pat was born on July 18, 1932 in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma.  She married her main man Doug in Clayton, New Mexico on June 20, 1950.  They lived most of their early years in Keyes, Oklahoma where Pat was a stay-at-home mom until all of her children were in school.  She then added to that life of leisure with another great love - working at the First State Bank of Keyes.   Pat thoroughly enjoyed her years in that small town bank and made many life-long friends during that time.  Pat and Doug later moved to Weatherford, Texas to be near Nancy and her children Brian, Jennifer, and Brenda.  Pat kept a meticulous home but still heard a bank calling her to work.  She was a valued employee of Texas Bank until she retired in 2007 to care for Doug.   Pat again had made some very special friendships and really loved the opportunity to take a cruise with her bank family. Her home was always open her to friends and her family.  One knew they would always be fed delicious meals, have a comfortable place to stay, and enjoy many laughs, card games, and good times visiting around the kitchen table. Pat was overjoyed to have Mark’s daughter Alana spent some time living with them while she was in high school.  Stan’s children Justin, Summer, and Brandon visited during holidays and to Pat’s delight were later able to come more often after Stan’s family moved to Fort Worth.    Pat’s home and heart were also filled with her great-grandchildren Justice, Grayson, Garrett, Austin, Chloe, Abbey, Liam, Peyton, Kylie and Skyler.
