Owen Fay also known as DeDe, 87, of Weatherford, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, in a Fort Worth hospital. Owen was born in Mexico, to Dick and Dora Fay, on September 30, 1920. He was a short time resident of Parker County, a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, and a rancher.
His wife, Ruby Lee Fay and daughters, Dorthy Williams and Willie Jean, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughters: Betty Pitts of San Angelo, Debra Lewis of Springfield, Illinois, Carolyn Fay of Fort Worth, Mary Jones of Weatherford, Tedra Fay of Weatherford, Mary Alice Fay of Weatherford, and Alice Fay of Springfield, Illinois; sons: Robert Fay of Brady, Joe Fay of San Angelo, Sammy Fay of St. Louis, Missouri, Jerry Don Fay of San Angelo, Clyde Fay of Springfield, Illinois, Jimmy Fay of San Angelo, Maurice Fay of San Angelo, Alvin Fay of San Angelo, and Charles Fay of San Angelo; brothers: Adam Fay of Fort Worth, and Pete Fay of Washington D.C.; sisters: Elizabeth Fay of Fort Worth, Loucille Mitchell of Los Angeles, California, Francis Hill of Georgetown, and Inez Fay of Fort Worth; and a great number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at the New Hope Baptist Church, on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. Burial is in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
