Norman Laurence Hogue

Norman Laurence Hogue, 40, of Willow Park, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 6, 2018, in Willow Park.

Norman was born February 27, 1978, in Houston, Texas. A graduate of Waltrip High School, Norman earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Texas A&M University. Norman was a proud Texas Aggie Singing Cadet.

Norman, a respected expert on the subject of traffic roundabouts, was Senior Project Engineer at Dunaway Associates in Fort Worth. Previously, Norman worked as a civil engineer for the City of Waco. Starting in 2016, Norman served on the Willow Park City Council, acting as Mayor-pro-tem.

On November 6, 2004, Norman married Brooke Arnold of Waxahachie, Texas, and they have two children. Together the Hogue family are faithful members of Trinity Bible Church, where Norman enjoyed men’s fellowship. Norman enjoyed singing, hunting, fishing and most of all being a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. Norman will be remembered as a “Godly man who loved to serve his Lord.”

Norman is survived by his wife, Brooke; his children, Aiden and Addisyn; his parents, Larry and Norma Hogue; parents-in-law, Gary and Joanne Arnold; his sisters, Laura (Daniel) Harris and Nora (Jeff) Miles; brother-in-law, Ryan (Kristyn) Arnold; his grandmother, Molena Henderson; grandparents in-law, Dean Arnold and Bob and Vee Miles; and by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The Celebration of Life will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, October 13 at Trinity Bible Church, 4936 I-20 Frontage Road, in Willow Park, reception to follow. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made toward his children's educational fund.
