Nancy Evans

Nancy Evans, 64, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away on Thursday evening, March 19, 2020, in Fort Worth, Texas following a brief illness. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Nancy was born on January 27, 1956, in Normangee, Texas. She was one of six children born to Demmit and Ethel Mae Currie. On October 16, 1993, Nancy married Jimmy Evans. She worked for many years as a cook in local nursing homes and later worked for the Peaster Grocery Store. Nancy will be remembered for her kind self-lessness and for always putting others first. She “never met a stranger” and was known to “tell it like it is.” Most of all, Nancy will be remembered for her selfless devotion toward her family – particularly toward her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Jimmy Evans; her son, Roy and wife Anna Mosher; her grandchildren, Jordan and husband Lucas Baldwin, Dakota and husband Kaleb Jordan, Klay and wife Lyndsey Mosher, and Dovie Mosher; her great-grandchildren, Raylan, Paisley, Carson, Elizabeth, Brecklyn, Watson, and Kash; and by her siblings, Linda and husband, Travis Vann, Ann and husband Danny Grimes, Jackie and husband Ricky Clark, Charles and wife Allie Currie, and Harry and wife Carla Currie; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Terry Ray Currie.
