Mildred May Pope, 88, of Weatherford, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Holland Lake Nursing & Rehab in Weatherford Texas. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating her life will be private.
Mildred was born December 15, 1927, in Fort Worth, to Samuel Authur and Ibby Inglis. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, caring for all animals, and was a wonderful seamstress. Mildred ‘loved everyone’ and was loved by everyone. She and her husband owned The Flying ‘P’ Ranch Cycle Park in north Parker County. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family- particularly her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mildred leaves behind her children, Joy Rickey, Judy Wolf, and Joe Russell; grandchildren, Tina and Jake Bono; grandchildren, Ashely, Michael, and Colton Abrams, and by her great-grandchildren, Kyra, Jacob, and Carley.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Leggett Russell and William “Bill” Howard Pope.
