Mildred Marie Hudgens

February 17, 1940 — December 9, 2006

  Mildred Marie Hudgens, 66, of Weatherford, died Saturday December 9, 2006, in a Fort Worth hospital. Born February 17, 1940 in Rockwell City, Iowa, she was a resident of Parker County for many years. Mildred was a homemaker, a member of Presbyterian Church and the Newcomers Club of Weatherford. She was an extremely devoted wife and mother, raised three sons, and she enjoyed making crafts with her grandchildren. 

  Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Ruth Santee; a brother, Bobby Lynn Santee; and a foster sister, Donna Pautsch. 

  She is survived by her husband of 47 years, John R. Hudgens, Sr. of Weatherford; sons, John R. Hudgens, Jr. and wife, Leslie of Hockley, Scott Hudgens and wife, Beverly of Shallowater, and Gary Hudgens and wife, Alicia of Leander; sisters, Ellen Santee of Rockwell City, Iowa, Judy Weber of Storm Lake, Iowa, Marsha Rayley of Missouri, and Vicki McClintock of Pocahontas, Iowa; brothers, Richard Santee of Plattsmouth, Nebraska and David Santee of Norfolk, Nebraska; and ten grandchildren.    

  Funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2006, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment at 2:00 p.m., in the DFW National Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, in the funeral home.
