Mildred Earline Lawrence

Mildred Earline Lawrence, 89, of Weatherford, passed away Monday, October 27, 2009.  Earline was born July 1, 1920 in Fort Worth.  She was a life long resident of Weatherford, active in the Zion Hill Community and a member of Couts United Methodist Church.  Earline sang with Bob Burt, wife Hester played piano, and Sadie Yates in a trio on KZEE radio. Earline was an LVN, working at Campbell Memorial from 1966 to 1989.  She loved her patients who respected her talents in return.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers and birds singing.  She always invited preachers to Sunday lunch. Preceding Earline in death were her parents and siblings, Beatrice, Juanita, Woodrow, Mark, Ray and Irene.  Her husband of 48 years, Norris Elton “Dick” Lawrence also preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughters, Helen Hearnsberger of Baytown and Donna Lemons and husband Gerald of Fort Worth; sisters, Lila Birkhoff and Louise Ware; 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
 
Service:  10 AM Thursday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with burial in Zion Hill Cemetery.  Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
