Michael Richard Chateauvert

Michael Richard Chateauvert, 62, of Weatherford passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at his residence. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. with a funeral service to begin at 6 p.m., on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 1:15 p.m, Monday, January 8, 2018 in the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Parker Paws, http://www.parkerpaws.org.

Mike was born April 7, 1955 in Lewiston, Maine to Richard Chateauvert and Georgianna King Chateauvert. He proudly served 6 years in the US Army. Mike was a construction worker and after retirement he began working for Brock ISD. He will be remembered for his humor, giving heart, honesty and his candid personality.

Mike is preceded in death by his brother, James Chateauvert; sister, Pam Barker and a niece, Jeanie Hallowell. He is survived by his father, Richard Chateauvert of Greene, ME; mother, Georgianna Baril and husband Larry of Auburn, ME; brother, Brian Chateauvert and wife Janemari of Wilbraham, MA; sister, Karen Flagg of Leeds, ME; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; as well as a host of good friends that Mike considered family.
