Michael Ray Skaggs

Michael Ray "Mike" Skaggs, age 67, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021, in El Paso, TX. Mike was born on August 7, 1954, in Weatherford, TX to Charles Skaggs and Margie (Peoples) Skaggs. He was a truck driver and was also involved in real estate. Mike was a Veteran of the United States Army, having honorably served his country from 1972 to 1988. He loved country music and dancing, had a big heart, and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Charles Skaggs and Margie (Peoples) Nash, Mike is preceded in death by his brother, Charles L. Skaggs.

Left to cherish Mike's memory are his daughter and son-in-law, Sherrie and Dan Gastelum of WI; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Selena Skaggs of Springtown, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Karen Ward and Dale Thornton of Granbury, TX; grandchildren - Brianna and Helisha Skaggs of Springtown, TX; Alex and Alesha Gastelum of WI; great-granddaughter, Cecilia Salvato of Springtown, TX; nieces and nephews and spouses, Brandy (Wayne) Beyer of Hockley, TX; Lacey Ward of Oklahoma City, OK; and Dylan (Tina) Ward of Haslet, TX; as well as other extended family.

A memorial visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford, TX 76086.
