Michael Jay De Rosia

Michael “Mike” Jay De Rosia, 73, loving and devoted husband of Irma, of Weatherford, passed away on Wednesday evening, June 30, 2021, in Fort Worth.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10 until 11, Saturday Morning, July 10, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. He will be interned at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas at a later date.

Mike was born May 11, 1948, in Jackson, Michigan to Volney and Maria De Rosia. His family then moved to Vermont where he grew up. Mike married Irma Blandino on June 28, 1980. He enjoyed outdoor activities including riding horses, time on his tractor, and chopping wood. He was a member of the Parker County Sportsman Club. Mike will be remembered as a soft-spoken man of few words – but always words of wisdom.

Mike is survived by his wife Irma of 41 years; his children, Maria Michelle De Rosia and Hans Kaleb De Rosia; and by his brothers, Olin, Victor, Winton, and Philip De Rosia.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the Heart to Heart Hospice in Fort Worth in Mike’s memory.
