Mercy D. Smith

  Mercy D. Smith, age 58, of Weatherford, died early Thursday morning, January 19, 2012, at her residence. Born January 16, 1954, in Ennis, a resident of Weatherford for several years. She was homemaker a Floor Supervisor at Jamak, member of he Prince Memorial CME Church, and she loved to cook, loved her family, and loved being a mother and grandmother. 

  Survivors: Husband, Willie Smith of Weatherford; daughters, Denetra “Punkin” Smith of Dallas, and Stacie “Tata” Smith of Weatherford; one grandchild, Jalen Hightower; sister, Mae D. Milton of Weatherford; brothers, Booker T. Washington of Midland, John Henry Washington, Jr. of Weatherford, and George E. Washington of Weatherford; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2012, in he Galbreaith Pickard Chapel, with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., January 23, 2012, at he funeral home.
