Mercy D. Smith

Mercy D. Smith, age 58, of Weatherford, died early Thursday morning, January 19, 2012 at her residence.  Born January 16, 1954 in Ennis, a resident of Weatherford for several years.  She was homemaker a Floor Supervisor at Jamak, member of he Prince Memorial CME Church and she loved to cook, loved her family and loved being a Mother and Grandmother. Survivors: Husband – Willie Smith of Weatherford; Daughters – Denetra “Punkin” Smith of Dallas, Stacie “Tata” Smith of Weatherford; One Grandchild – Jalen Hightower; Sister – Mae D. Milton of Weatherford; Brothers – Booker T. Washington of Midland, John Henry Washington, Jr. of Weatherford, George E. Washington of Weatherford; Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in he Galbreaith Pickard Chapel with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, January 23, 2012 at he funeral home.
