Mary Elizabeth Smith

  Mary Elizabeth Smith, age 92, of Weatherford, died early Sunday morning, September 8, 2013, in a local nursing facility. Born November 27, 1920, in Fort Worth, Texas, a resident of Weatherford for thirty five years. She was a homemaker, retired PBX operator, 1938 graduate of Polytechnic High School and a member of the Poly Methodist Church.  

  Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Willis Ray and Bernice Jordan; husband, Fred J. Smith; and a brother, Willis Ray Jordan.

  Survivors:
Daughter – Nancy Martin and husband, Monte of Weatherford
Two Grandchildren – Amy Roberts and husband Dierk of Weatherford
                                  Matthew Martin and wife, Hope of Grand Prairie
Four Great Grandchildren – Karri and Kristi Roberts, Michael and McKenzie Martin
 
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Couts Memorial United Methodist Church, with interment in the Tin Top Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 10, at the funeral home. 

Memorials may be made to Poly Methodist Church in Fort Worth.
