Mary E. Vaughn, 95, of Weatherford, passed away early on Tuesday morning, November 12, 2019, at her home.

Mary was born May 18, 1924 in Parker County to Bascom and Leta Dugan. She was a graduate of Peaster High School and was the Valedictorian of her class. Mary married J.W. Vaughn in 1943, and together they raised two sons, Jim and Mike. She worked for General Dynamics and later Lockheed Martin for many years in Electronic Assembly. She was a long-time member of North Side Baptist Church. She was known to be an excellent cook, baker, and quilter. Most of all, Mary cherished time spent with her family.

Mary is survived by her sons, Jim and wife Sue Vaughn of Weatherford and Mike and wife Jan Vaughn of Stephenville; grandchildren, Shanna Herd and husband Doug, Laura Baird and husband Michael, Chad and wife Wendy Vaughn, Lieutenant Commander USN-Ben and wife Amy Vaughn, and Heather Vaughn; great-grandchildren, Laine, Logan, Emmie, Jaxson, Jonas, and Kate; and by her brother, Mack and wife Carol Dugan.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, J.W. Vaughn in 1993 and by her brother, Chalmers Dugan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alpha Omega Hospice, Grace Place c/o First Baptist Stephenville, or Building Fund Northside Baptist Weatherford.
