Mary Alice Ballow Brandenburg, 87, retired teacher, died Monday, November 24, 2008 at Holland’s Lake Nursing Center.

Mary Alice, was born December 13, 1920 in Weatherford, Texas, the daughter of William J. and Mary Ballow. Mrs. Brandenburg lived and taught school for many years in Oxford, Ohio returning to Texas to live in 1995.
Survivors: Sister, Dixie Lou Pruitt of Bryan, Texas.
Nephews, William M. “Bill” Pruitt, and wife Emily of Buda, Texas, Buzz Pruitt and wife Katy of College Station, Jack F. “Jay” Dawson, Jr. and wife Ann of Baytown, Texas.
Nieces, Debbie Jones of Friendswood, Texas, Julie Miller and husband Wayde of Stephenville, Texas, Vickie Ballow Slagle and husband Tim of Aledo, Texas, Jacque Ballow Patterson of Aledo, Texas, and Tammie Ballow of Weatherford, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Funeral:       2 pm Friday, November 28, 2008 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel
Burial:          Oakland Cemetery, Weatherford, Texas
Visitation           10 am to 1 pm Friday prior to the funeral service
