Martin C. Bullard

June 13, 1951 — March 27, 2023

On March 27, 2023, our rock of the family Martin Clay Bullard passed away peacefully in a hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas. Martin was born June 13, 1951, in Ft. Worth, Texas to Floyd and Eleanor "Mike" Bullard (deceased). Martin met his future wife Glenda Ashley while attending Millsap High School. They became high school sweethearts and married in May of 1971. During almost 52 years of marriage, they were blessed with two loving daughters, Angela and Alayna.

Martin managed and later owned Bullard Vet Supply located on the square in Weatherford, Texas. He was considered the "people's vet" to a large number of his customers for many years. Martin always met them with a smile giving his knowledgeable, medical advice for treatment in his well-known, slow, Texas drawl! Due to battling cancer, he retired and sold the business. Soon after retiring Martin began restoring antique furniture helping his wife Glenda at their store Back To Yesterday.

Martin had many hobbies that kept him busy. He was not a man who liked to waste time! He enjoyed all aspects of nature from gardening, working in the yard, building birdhouses and yard art to bird watching. Martin and his best buddy Melvin Davis spent countless hours restoring vintage and muscle vehicles throughout their enduring friendship. The most treasured times in his life and ours as a family together were the many trips to Disney World!

Martin is survived by his one and only soul-mate, Glenda; daughters: Angela (Max) Stemple and Alayna (Adam) Lawrence; grandchildren: grandson, Sam Stemple and granddaughter, Lennon Lawrence; sister, Carla; and good friend, Melvin Davis.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be sent to Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter or to Weatherford Whiskers.
