Manuel Jimenez

June 17, 1936 — November 30, 2008

Manuel Jimenez of Weatherford, died on Sunday, November 30, 2008. Born in Waco to Romolo Jimenez and Genoveva Moreno, he attended  Waco schools until he joined the Army at the age of seventeen during the Korean War and he also served in the National Guard.  In 1962 he met his wife Lupe Salas and were married in Waco after 3 months.  He worked for Reliable Insurance Company for 30 years until his retirement due to his health. Manuel’s favorite things were talking, fishing, football and going  to Las Vegas.  Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, step father,  three brothers, Antonio Jimenez was killed in Veitnam, Johnny Moreno and his brother in law, Larry Gonzales. Survivors: Wife, Lupe Jimenez, four sisters; Mary Myers, Mable Palacio and husband Pete Patsy Jimenez, Pauline Howard and husband, Paul Three Brothers; Joe Jimenez and wife, Vangie, Ted Garza and wife, Slyvia Frank Moreno and wife Alberta, host of nieces, nephews that he loved dearly adopted daughters Cindy Brumfield, Becky Lee and Debbie Rowe and Their mother Emilie Gonzales, his best friend and sister in law. Rosary will be 7 PM on Tuesday, December 2 at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at St. Stephens Catholic Church.  Interment will be in Memory Gardens.
