Lori Lea Duckett

October 29, 1971 — December 18, 2022

Lori Lea Duckett, 51, of Weatherford, passed from this earth Sunday, December 18th, 2022. Lori was born to Peggy Yvonne Mitchell on October 29th, 1971, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Lori had resided in Weatherford for 31 years. It has been said that Lori was an angel sent from above as she touched many lives with her kind words, infectious laugh, and charitable heart. She was always just a phone call away, helping anyone and everyone who would give her a chance. Lori fittingly worked as a CNA in home health settings, as well as in local nursing facilities. She cared for me as well as my brother, Andy Hamilton, who she grew to love for many years to come. Lori cared for those who could not care for themselves and did it with a smile on her face.

Lori was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Mitchell; her sister, Carla Woods of Perrin; and her loved one, Andrew Hamilton of Weatherford.

Lori is survived by her brother, Guy Birdwell and wife, Darla and their two children. Lori has a sister named Michelle and an Uncle Butch, as well. She is also survived by the one she so lovingly referred to as mom, Wilma Hamilton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Shane and Kati Hamilton and their children; Andy’s son, Aaron Hamilton and his wife, Katie and their two children, all of Weatherford. Lori loved her best friend, MaryAnn, who was always there for her; and many other close friends she counted as family along the way.

We will celebrate Lori’s life by burying her ashes; that date has yet to be determined.

Rest easy sweet Lori, we love you!
