Lori Elizabeth Newman

Lori Elizabeth Newman, 28, of Carthage, Texas passed away March 30, 2020 at LSU Health in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born June 21, 1991 in Weatherford, Texas to Ann Duvall Newman. As a child, Lori was a member of Poolville Baptist Church in Poolville, Texas and was currently a member of United Pentecostal Church in Carthage. She enjoyed singing karaoke and loved singing in the church choir as well as solos. Lori was a devoted mother of two, a loving care giver and hard worker in food service. She enjoyed taking Ryan and Reni to parks, zoos and trips to see family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Elizabeth Duvall. 

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ryan and Serenity Esquivel of Carthage; parents, Ann Duvall Newman and husband, John Harlin of Poolville; sister, Cindy Newcomb and husband Brad of Peaster; brother, Chris Newman of Poolville; grandfather, Billy Jack Duvall; aunts, Donna Coleman and husband Raymond and Linda Duvall; nieces and nephews, Caitlyn Tucker, Owen and Devyn Newcomb and Tanner and Adelynn Newman; numerous cousins and many friends.

A Memorial service will be held at 10am, Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the Poolville Tabernacle with lunch provided. There has been a crowd funding account set up to help offset the unexpected funeral expenses Lori’s family have incurred.
