Lorene McKinzie

Lorene McKinzie, 98, of Weatherford, passed away Tuesday,  April 16, 2013.  Lorene was one of 11 children born to Luther and Cynthia Howell in Dennis, TX. She was a simple person and loved the simple things in life. She loved gardening, quilting, playing her guitar, and going to musicals. But most of all, she loved her family, friends, and serving the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Cynthia Howell; 2 husbands, Dan McKinzie, Jr., and RE Fowler; son, Joe Dan McKinzie; 6 brothers, Lovell, Lloyd, Landon, Joe, Norman, and Claude Howell; and 1 sister, Opal Finley.

She is survived by her children, RE Fowler, Jr, and wife Donna of Benbrook, Martha Gibbs and husband Randle of Weatherford; Daughter in Law, Cindy McKinzie of Weatherford; sisters, Cleo Henigan and Wayne Nell Alexander of Weatherford; 1 brother, Leon Howell, of Cleburne; Sisters in law, Mary Tackett, and Alice Walker of Weatherford, and Margie McKinzie of Odessa, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friend, Ken Brandon, whom she spent many hours visiting with.
 

Service will be at 2 pm, Friday, April 19, 2013 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment at Johnson Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 pm-8 pm, in our chapel.
