Linda Kay Pickett Eubank

September 7, 1948 — January 20, 2009

Linda Kay (Pickett) Eubank passed away Tuesday January 20th at home surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born Septembe 7, 1948 in Weatherford Texas to W.D. and Oleta Pickett. She spent her youth in many different places including Morocco, North Africa, Canada and California. She returned to Weatherford in 1966 and graduated from Weatherford high school in 1967.
She worked in the medical profession including 15 years as a medical secretary for Dr. Mark Presley.   Most recently she was employed by the radiology department at Weatherford Regional Medical Center.
Even at 60 years old she had a quality of innocence and vulnerability that endeared her to all who knew her.  She faced life’s challenges with courage and elegance, including the devastating diagnosis of a malignant brain tumor.  She pushed herself to the end to squeeze as much out of life as possible, continuing to participate in family activities and events when doing so was so difficult that most others would have given up.
She met her husband Larry at a high school reunion, her heart was forever his. Together they were able to fulfill her love of traveling. She enjoyed moving from the city to the country where she remodeled a log house and learned to deal with livestock.  She loved getting dressed up and attending functions at the Kimbell Art Museum with Larry.  Linda was a wonderful mother and made every day in her daughters lives special, she always knew the right things to do or say. Linda will be missed by many and her memory will forever live on….. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Linda was preceded in death by her father William D. Pickett
