Linda Johnson Barfield

Linda (Lynn) Glewen Barfield 1948-2015
Lynn was born July 27, 1948 in Waupun, Wisconsin, the daughter of Clarence and Henrietta Glewen.  She attended school in Waupun and graduated from Waupun High School in 1966 and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1971 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.  Lynn served for two years in the U.S. Air Force assigned to Andrews AFB, outside of Washington, DC.  After her military service, she worked as a Registered Nurse in Coronary and Thoracic Intensive Care Units in various hospitals in Wisconsin, Texas and Louisiana.  On May 4, 2005, she and James Barfield were married in a beachfront ceremony in Kauai, Hawaii.  Following their marriage they resided in Lynn’s home in Destin, Florida and in 2009 they moved to Hudson Oaks, TX to be closer to family. A loving wife and mother, Lynn was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren.  Reading, staying up to date on current events and loving her four grandchildren kept her busy and happy.
Lynn is survived by her husband, James Barfield of Hudson Oaks, TX; children, Allison Johnson of Long Beach, CA; Jordan Johnson of San Antonio, TX; David (wife Keri) Barfield of Hudson Oaks, TX; and Kathyrine (husband, Dan) Dunham of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren Weston Dunham and Colin, Logan, and Sydney Barfield; her sister, Donna Ter Beest of Waupun, WI; and many nieces and nephews.


Friends and family are invited to a visitation on December 12th, 2015, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm St., Weatherford, TX.
