Leroy Roberts, 83, of Weatherford, passed away on Sunday September 4, 2011. Born April 9, 1928 to Lucian and Minnie Roberts in Parker County where he lived all his life. Mr. Roberts was a fireman for 40 years as well as a Deputy Sherriff for 20 plus years and was a faithful member of the Grace First Presbyterian church since 1946.
Preceding him in death are his parents and three brothers, J.N. Roberts, W.B. Roberts and Lloyd Roberts.
Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Bernice Roberts; daughters, Ruthie Lynn Blackwell and husband, Archie of Weatherford, and Linda Louise Brian and husband, David of Bossier City, Louisiana; sons, Roy Lee Roberts and Dianne of Weatherford, and Larry Edward Roberts and wife, Debbie of Fort Worth; 14 grandchildren, Todd Roberts and wife, Christy, Daniel and wife, Andi, Rachel and Adam Roberts, Trisha Kirkes and husband, Chris, Tina Steward and husband, Shawn, Ross Brian and wife, Emily, Rebecca and Lyndie Brian; eight great grandchildren, Tiffany Hill, Cory and Zach Roberts, Alyssa and Allie Barton, Ayden and Kennedy Stewart, and Parker Brian; and numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Graveside service: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2011 in Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to the Parker County Senior Center in Leroy’s honor.
