LaVerne Keller Horton

  LaVerne Keller Horton, age 81, of Weatherford, died Friday, July 29, 2011, at her residence. 

  LaVerne was a born January 29, 1930 in Lamb County. She married Vernon R. Horton on July 29, 1950. LaVerne was long time resident of Parker County, a resident of the Spring Creek Community since August of 1959. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. 

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Winnie and Stratton Keller; husband, Vernon Horton; and three brothers.

  Survivors: son, Charlie Horton of Weatherford; daughter, Joanne Richardson and husband, Derek of Van Buren, Arizona; sisters, Marie Thomas of Amarillo and Evelyn Jackson of Mineral Wells; five grandchildren, Darrell and Russell Childers, Jeff Horton, Emily Johnson and Leanne Harris; ten great grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews.

  Funeral service 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011, in the Spring Creek Baptist Church. Interment in Spring Creek Cemetery.
