L. V. Youngblood

L. V. Youngblood, 75, of Weatherford passed away Friday, December 16, 2011.  L. V. was born September 3, 1936 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Effie Mae and Andrew Mathew Youngblood.  He was the youngest of sixteen children and the last surviving member of the family.
L. V. served his country in the U.S. Navy.  He began a ministry as an evangelist for the Church of God and later pastured and established many churches in the southwestern United States.   After more than thirty years he retired in 1999.  L. V. and Bonnie, his wife, loved serving as the Shut-in Ministers and participating in all church activities.  They also enjoyed Silver Threads and other church fellowships.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Carolyn Youngblood; sons, Rocky Youngblood and wife, Lynn and Bret Youngblood; four grandchildren, Amy Stevens, Dane Stevens, Andrew Youngblood and fiancé’, Alicia Powell and Zachery Youngblood and wife, Sheena; five great grandchildren, Taylor Hamilton, Abigail Johnson, Jaime Johnson, Sunny Johnson and Amelia Youngblood and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M., Monday at North Main Church of God with burial following in East Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation is from 4 to 6 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
