Kathy Jane Gilbert

Kathy Jane Gilbert, 64, of Lipan, Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021, in Weatherford. A Committal service will be held at 3 P.M., on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Hill Cemetery, 3563 Gilbert Pit Road, Lipan, TX.

Kathy was born on April 3, 1957, in Fort Worth, Texas to Earl Wesley Dromgoole, Jr. and Nancy Dromgoole. She was a person of deep religious faith. Kathy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She started working as a substitute teacher for Weatherford ISD and she loved it so much she transitioned to a full-time para professional, serving various campuses throughout the district. WISD remembers Kathy as a joy to all who encountered her. Her love for children was evidenced by her cheerful smile and wonderful attitude. Kathy will be remembered as being a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Kathy is survived by her children, James Arthur, II (Candice) Morland, Kristina Morland, and Matthew Morland; her grandchildren, Kira, Lauren, and Nicholas; by her brother, Earl Wesley (Carolyn) Dromgoole, III, and by her sister, Anita Dromgoole Earp.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Gilbert; her brother, Bobby Dromgoole; and by her parents.
