Judy Sherlen Plowman

Judy S. Plowman, 65, of Weatherford, passed from this life on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by loved ones.
Judy was born November 2, 1950 in Parker County to Wesley and Jessie Roden.   She married George Plowman in 1985.  She cherished time spent with her family – particularly her children and grandchildren.  She loved cooking and making Sunday dinners.  Judy loved having the entire family together for Christmas.  She was a wonderful Mom, Grandma, Sister, and friend.  Judy was always there to help others and had a caring heart.  She will be greatly missed.
Judy fought a courageous fight against breast cancer.  Her strong will to live, her faith, and her love of family, friends, and supporters carried her through 6 years of trials and treatments.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, George Plowman.
She is survived by her daughters, Sara Robison and husband Doug of Brock, Carrie Rogers and husband John of Weatherford, and Jamie Way and husband Jeff of Weatherford; her sons, Steven Melton and wife Amy of Benbrook and Mark Plowman and fiance, Pamela Ratzlaff of Weatherford; and step-daughter, Raelene Pena and husband Terry of Boonsville; her sisters, Vicki Sutton, Darla Jackson, and Tina Miller; brother, Dub Roden; 14 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
    


Graveside service celebrating her life will be held at 10 A.M., on Monday, April 18, at East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 until 8, Sunday evening, April 17, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
