Judith Ganell Coburn Cassels, 79, of Weatherford passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Funeral: 2pm, Friday March 15, 2019 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
Judy was born November 3, 1939 in Robersonville, NC to Roy Gordon Coburn, Sr. and Roland Gray Coburn. After graduating from New Bern High School in NC, Judy began her banking career. She married Russ J. Cassels in June of 1967 and moved to Weatherford, where she continued her banking career with Citizens National Bank until her retirement. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Russ, sister, Gerildean and her brother, Lester.

Judy is survived by her brother, Roy Gordon Coburn and wife Durlene of New Bern, NC; many nieces and nephews in NC; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law in Texas, New Mexico and Alabama. She is also survived by her compassionate caregivers, Esther, Marcia and Leo. The family would like to express their gratitude to Holland Lake Nursing Center for the unconditional love and care they showed Judy over the last three years.
