Johnny Peacock, 82, passed away Sunday, May 25, at Odyssey House in Fort Worth. He was born July 29, 1925, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Clarence and Anna Peacock. He was a Baptist and married his wife, Ruby in October 1946. Johnny served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Chester. He retired from Bell Helicopter after 32 years in 1985. After retirement he spent many hours tending to cattle and horses, trading and selling.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Peacock; and a grandson, Brandon Perkins.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Fulks Peacock of 61 years; three sons, Benny and wife, Carol, Craig and wife, Deborah, and Blaine and wife, Konni. He was blessed with seven grandchildren, Amy Sexton, Ryan Peacock, Chad Peacock, Joni Williams, Bliss and Colton Peacock, Ashley Shetter and Nathan and Coleman Johnson; eight great-grandchildren, Cody and Dalton Sexton, Chloe and Jackie Peacock, Ben Williams, Lexie Berry, Hogan and Olivia Shetter; sister, Jennie, Faulkner and brother, C. H. Peacock; and nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with burial in East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
