Johnnie Faye Morgan

Johnnie Faye Morgan, 94, longtime resident of Weatherford, Texas, passed from this life early on Monday, December 28, 2020, at her home in Weatherford.

Visitation will be held on Saturday morning, January 2, 2021, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford, from 10 until 10:45. A graveside committal service will follow at East Greenwood Cemetery, in Weatherford at 11 A.M.

Johnnie was born on May 6, 1926, in Victor, Texas to Johnnie Robert Odell Bethany and Emma Jewell Bethany. She was married to Clinton Morgan for thirty-five years. She had three daughters. Johnnie owned her own business, Johnnie’s Beauty Shop, in Weatherford for many years. A devout Christian, she was a longtime member of Victory Baptist Church in Weatherford. Johnnie was known for her cooking – particularly her chocolate and coconut meringue pies! She enjoyed embroidering, traveling, and affirming her faith through old Christian hymns. Johnnie will be remembered for being a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Johnnie is survived by her daughters; Pamela Rhoten, Sandra and husband Glenn Seaberry, and Deborah Richardson; her grandson, Kyle Morgan, whom she raised; grandchildren, Mika Cooper, Nikki Self, Trevin Seaberry, Brian Bolton, and Shad Rhoten; nine great-grandchildren; and by her sister, Nell Howell.

In addition to her parents, Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Morgan, and by two beloved great-grandchildren.

The family is so grateful to Debbie, her youngest daughter, for providing home healthcare for the last four years so Mother was able to remain in her home until her death.
