John Michael Eby

June 26, 2001 — February 9, 2021

With deepest sorrow we announce that John Michael Eby, 19, our most beloved son, brother, and friend, passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, in Fort Worth.

John was born on June 26, 2001 in Fort Worth to Brandon and Carey Eby. He worked diligently at whatever he set his heart to do. He will affectionately be remembered for his smile and the infectious sense of humor that he had even during difficult times. John lived by Proverbs 17:22 which says that “A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.”

John had a sensitive side and was extremely intelligent. He had amazing self-discipline and enjoyed weightlifting and boxing. He was a very hard-working individual who knew how to survive on his own. John was well read and often researched topics simply to educate himself. He was creative, caring, and very loyal. He was the life of the party and a friend to those who had no friend. John made a lasting impression on all who were blessed to have known him.

John Eby was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael Randolph Whitsitt and his close friend and brother, Donald Wilson.

John Eby will be deeply missed every day by his father, Brandon Eby; his mother, Carey Eby; his sisters, Rachel, and Sarah Eby; his brother Greg McCann; and his closest friends, Mackenzie Handley, Cayden Luke, and David Gray.

A memorial of thanks to God and in celebration of John’s life, will be held every year on June 26. We love you and miss you so very much John, and we wait with expectation to be reunited with you again soon.

“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” - John 11:25
