Emblem

John Evan Davis went to Heaven on March 19, 2021. John was born in Weatherford, Texas on October 8, 1958 to Charles B. Davis and T. Clarice Morris Davis.

John loved life and lived as a devoted Christian. He was a member of the Newberry Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Parker County, Texas between Weatherford and Millsap.

He graduated from Weatherford High School, Weatherford College and Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas. John served as a Lieutenant Missileer in the United States Air Force and was discharged with a Medical Disability. He was with GSA for 27 years as a Senior Contracting Officer.

John is survived by his parents, Charles Billie Davis and Threta Clarice (Morris) Davis, 2 brothers, Charles W. and James A, and a sister Threta Ann Davis, 2 nieces, 4 nephews, 4 great nieces and 4 great nephews. He loved all of his family dearly.

He had a host of friends he met through his family, church, work, activities and friends. This he considered a blessing to him in more ways than one. He thoroughly enjoyed living with us when his Dad, through his work, was sent to Denmark. He had many friends from there too, some of which he has remained in contact.

John Evan was remembered most for his gentle Christian soul, ever loving kindness and selfless love for all. He enjoyed beautiful flowers and was always giving his Mom beautiful bouquets. He never forgot any family birthdays and anniversaries. Our world would be a better place if we lived our lives as John did. He was the epitome of a wonderful son, brother, Uncle and Great Uncle. John was fond of telling funny little jokes. Kids loved him.
