Joe Hale Sherman

Joe Hale Sherman, 78, of Weatherford, died Monday May 26, 2008 in the Weatherford hospital. Born December 7, 1929 in Ballinger, Texas, he was a resident of Parker County for many years. Joe was a meat cutter for Kroger in Weatherford, where he retired after 35 years of service. He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge in Brock. Joe was an Army Veteran, honorably discharged in 1949 and 1954 serving in WWII and the Korean War. He was a volunteer for Weatherford Regional Medical Center and Meals on Wheels. Joe was well loved and friend to all, he was known for his smiles, humor, and good outlook on life.   He is survived by his wife of 40 years Wanda Sherman of Weatherford; brother, Dause Sherman and wife Allene of Ballinger; although Joe had no biological children, he was a Father to many of his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.  

Funeral service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.

Interment: Memory Gardens Cemetery.
