Joe Edd Oglesby, Jr.

Joe Edd Oglesby, Jr., 70, passed from this life on Sunday, November 6, 2022. Joe was born on June 6, 1952, to Joe Edd Oglesby, Sr. and Lois Marie (Williams) Oglesby in Texarkana, Arkansas. He worked at Tom Thumb as a stocker and at Motel 6 in the housekeeping department. Joe had a keen interest in botany and was known for his green thumb and love of plants. He enjoyed Sci-Fi movies, including his favorites, Star Wars and Star Trek. Joe's music of choice to relax and enjoy was Big Band music and the Oldies. He was a devout Jehovah's Witness and often shared his personal faith. Joe will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.

Joe is survived by his sister-in-law, Kim Oglesby; nephew, Chris and his wife, Angel, and their children, Avery and Abel; niece, Angie and her husband, Bobby, and their children, David, Breanna, and Addison; niece, April and her husband, Tony, and their son, Michael. Joe is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Neva and Kenneth Baron.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lois Oglesby, Sr., and his brothers, Arthur and David Oglesby.
