Joan Ellen Brown, age 56, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 at her home in Weatherford. Joan was born in Tokyo, Japan on April 3, 1964 to Jack and JoAnn Thedford. Being raised in a military home Joan lived in many different areas throughout her life. She attended Texas State University and went to Respiratory School at Hendricks in Abilene. Joan was a homemaker and loved her three boys, Shon, Slade, and Ryan. One of her favorite things to do was watch Slade play baseball and Ryan play lacrosse. Joan also loved cooking, gardening, and being around her family and friends. 

Joan is survived by her husband, Shon Brown of Weatherford, sons, Slade Brown of Bedford and Ryan Brown of Weatherford, father, Jack Thedford of Abilene, sister, Liz Ille (Ron) of Abilene, brothers, David Thedford (Mary) of Abilene, and Dean Thedford (Faye) of Weatherford, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn Thedford of Abilene. 

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 20th from 6-8pm at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N Elm St., Weatherford, Texas 76086. Funeral Services will be held August 21st, 10am at the Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, 4941 I-20 Frontage Rd., Willow Park, Texas 76087. 

Due to COVID-19 Galbreaith Pickard strongly encourages mask and social distancing between attendees. Although, mask are not required and will not be provided by the funeral home.
