Jimmy Ray Wooten

Jimmy Ray “Poppy” Wooten, age 72, of Weatherford, died Monday morning, June 23, 2014 at his residence.  Jim was born August 17, 1941 in Seymour, TX.  He was owner of Wooten’s Barber & Style, a member of the Master Barbers Association and a member of South Main Church of Christ.  Poppy loved to go fishing, spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by a daughter; Shana Dell Allen, sister; Dorothy May Bryan, twin brother, Willie Jay Wooten, brother Rickie Dee Wooten, mother, Viola  Carlock Wooten and father, Rillie Wooten.
Poppy is survived by his wife; Glenna Wooten of Weatherford, daughter; April Adair and husband Tim of Weatherford, sons; James Wooten and wife Lori of Springtown, Richard Wooten of Weatherford, sisters; Barbara J Cook of Seymour, Sharon Kay Heim of Seymour, thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren.
 

 

UPDATED
Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Thursday at North Side Baptist Church. Interment in East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 pm Wednesday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
