Jimmy Arden Tilger

November 19, 1938 — March 23, 2015

Jimmy Arden “Jim” Tilger age 76 of Weatherford passed from this life March 23, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.  Jim was born November 19, 1938 in Trenton, TX to Ralph and Ardelle Tilger.  He was employed by GMAC for over 36 years. He retired as Control Branch Manager of the Fort Worth branch. Following his retirement from GMAC he served as General Manager for Roger Williams Auto Mall, and then worked as Marketing Consultant for Jerry’s Auto Group. Jim loved his family, traveling, and working in his yard.  He was a follower of his Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of the Methodist Church his entire life. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge, member of Parker county Executives Association, East Parker County Chamber of Commerce and Granbury Chamber of Commerce. He was a true people person, always sharing a smile and encouraging words.
 
He is survived by his wife Donna, daughter Michelle Edwards and husband Kenneth of Leonard, TX, son Phillip Arden Tilger and wife Robyn of Dallas, TX, brother Billy Tilger and wife Anna of San Diego, CA. He has 5 grandchildren: Ashley Boggs, Benjamin Edwards, and Emerson, Garrett and Hadley Tilger. He has 2 great-grandchildren: Kenleigh Stevens and Piper Boggs, and numerous other relatives and friends.




Notice of Location Change
Family visitation will be at the Couts United Methodist Church from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday March 27

with the Funeral Service being held at Couts United Methodist Church in Weatherford at 10:00 am on Saturday March 28. Interment at Burns Cemetery in Trenton, TX at 3:00 pm.
