Jerald Alton Reynolds

Jerald Alton Reynolds, of Weatherford, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the age of 87. He was born to James A. Reynolds and Florence A. Crews Reynolds in Fort Worth, Texas. Jerry graduated from Northside High School and furthered his education in banking. He was a banker for over forty years in Texas with 20 + of those years at M&F State Bank which later became Texas Bank.

Jerry was a Member of South Main Church of Christ since 1977 and enjoyed serving communion, volunteering with Mission Printing, with his wife, Glenda, spending time with the Achievers group, and going to eat with his close friends every Sunday after church. He loved playing golf, hunting, and watching Weatherford College basketball. Jerry was a long-time Booster Club member at Weatherford College and an intricate part of helping start Weatherford Christian School. At the age of 81, he served on his first international mission trip to Guatemala, with his daughter, serving at a school for under privilege children.

Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Jerri Ann Priest (Kenny Priest) of Gordon, Texas, Cindy Watts of Washington, Shannon Stone (Paul Stone) of Weatherford, Texas, Shelly Hall of Waco, Texas, and Suzanne Ritchey (John Ritchey), and son, Jay Watts (Susan Watts) of Huckaby, Texas and sister Betty Monzel (Mike Monzel) of Azle, Texas. He will also be fondly remembered by his twenty-nine grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Florence Reynolds, his wife, Glenda Reynolds, his brother, Bobby Reynolds, and grandson, Shane Watts.

Jerry’s Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, January 31 at 1pm with visitation prior to the service, at 12pm, at South Main Church of Christ, 201 S Main St. Weatherford, Tx. Following the service, the burial will be held at Memorial Gardens, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy, Weatherford, TX.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests a financial donation be made, in memory of Jerry Reynolds, to Weatherford Christian School, 2300 Ranger Hwy, Weatherford, Texas, 76088.
