Jaylene Guinn

Jaylene Blocker Guinn, 73, of Weatherford passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at her residence. Funeral: 11 a.m, Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Salesville Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m, Tuesday at the funeral home.
Jaylene was born March 5, 1945 in Midland to Tom and Vernon Savell Blocker. She was a hotel manager and a member of the Baptist Church. Raising her children as a single parent, Jaylene learned how to devote her time and love to her four children. The love and devotion Jaylene gave her children was also passed down to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She taught them that family was most important and always enjoyed the time they spent together. Jaylene was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Guinn in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Rosa Daves and Elfrieda Hinshaw and her brother, Wayne Blocker.
She is survived by her daughters, Elfrieda Winters, Resha Carlsen, Renita Bishop and husband Steve; son, Joe Hobbs and wife Stephanie; siblings, Joy Smith, Rita Ringo and Gary Blocker; grandchildren, Jana Hughett, Karla Dobbs, Kari Carlsen, Kerry Winters, Chrystal Caulkins, Shonda Hobbs, Brandon Stults and Skyler Stults; as well as 16½ great grandchildren.
