James Rudolph Buck

James Rudolph Buck, 89, of Weatherford died Tuesday February 9, 2010 at his residence. Born March 11, 1920 in Coleman, Texas, Mr. Buck was a resident of Parker County for many years. James was retired, a Baptist, a lifetime member of the VFW and a WWII veteran serving in the US Army Co. B 142nd Inf., 36th Division. He loved country music, was an avid gardener and garage saler, loved having them and going to them. Mr. Buck was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Buck in 2008.  He is survived by his daughters, Jamyee Vaughn and husband Clarence of The Woodlands and Sue Harris and husband Lonnie of Granbury; son, Lonney Buck and wife Patti of Granbury; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; longtime caregiver Charlotte Oldham. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Accolade Hospice for all the care and compassion they showed James and his family. Also survived by his special friends from the Friday morning Coffee Club at Hutch’s.
 

Funeral service: 1:00 PM, Friday, February 12, 2010 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lynn Crosslin officiating. Interment: Memory Gardens. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Thursday, at the funeral home. Galbreaith Pickard in charge of arrangements.
