James Fredrick Dyer

February 15, 1935 — July 11, 2020

James F. Dyer, 85 years old went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2020.

Coach Jim Dyer graduated from San Jacinto High School in Houston where he participated in football, baseball, basketball and track. Coach Dyer played at Weatherford College and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Wesleyan University and he graduated with a Masters degree from North Texas State University. Coach Dyer has 40 years of coaching experience. He coached at Gordan for two years, three years at Wallis, 14 years at Weatherford, Everman for nine years, Aledo for six years, and Western Hills for six years. In his 24 years as Head Baseball Coach his record is 298 wins and 142 losses. His team has been in the state playoffs ten times. He was Honored seven times as the District Coach of the Year and was the Texas High School Coaches Association North All Star Baseball Coach in 1984 and they made it to the State Semi Finals for Everman High School. He was named Tarrant County Coach of the year in 1984. 

Surviving is his only child Ricky Dyer of Weatherford, Texas and a niece; Deb Marcum and nephew; Brad Dixon and cousins; Jo Sneed, Fred Werner and many friends, athlete's and students. 

The family would like to give a Special thanks to Tracy Werne and the Staff at Hilltop Park. Services will be held at a later date.
