James Franklin Pickering

September 16, 1926 — December 23, 2008

James Franklin Pickering, age 82, of Munday, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 with his loving wife and family at his side. God called him home and he is now in the loving arms of his heavenly Father. Although he will be missed greatly, we know that he will always be in our hearts and prayers. A devote family man, his family will always remember his smile and loving arms.

Frank was born September 16, 1926 in Weinert, Texas to James Jackson and Emily Pearl Pickering. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and worked twenty years as an electrician at Bell Helicopter. He served as a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Weinert and was a former member of North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford.

He is preceded in death by his parents, eight sisters, a brother and a wife, Bobbie June.

Survivors include his wife, Margie; daughters, Patricia Carr and husband Henry and Sherry Williams and husband Kenneth; sons, Don Pickering and wife Janice, Ronnie Stewart and wife Delores, Danny Stewart and wife Nancy, Mike Stewart and wife Robyne and Mark Stewart and wife Kristi; eighteen grandchildren, Kim Watson, Jeff Carr, Terry Pickering, Shelley White, Brandon Pickering, Michael Pickering, Michelle Moore, Kristy Noyola, Missy Norman, Mindy Hendrix, Justin Stewart, Heather Wilhelm, Pate Stewart, Larami Stewart, Payden Stewart, Taylor Stewart, Pryce Stewart, and Alye Stewart and twenty-seven great grandchildren.

Funeral Services           1 PM, Saturday at North Side Baptist Church
Burial           East Greenwood Cemetery
Visitation         6 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home
