James Cecil Stone

James Cecil Stone, age 71, of Weatherford, died Thursday morning, August 28, 2008 in a Fort Worth hospital. Born October 26, 1936 in Parker County, where he had lived all his life. He was retired Lumber Yard Forman, an Army Veteran and a police officer for the City of Weatherford during the early 1970’s. Survivors: Wife – Modina Stone of Weatherford   Daughter – Ginger Stone of Puyallup, Washington, Step Daughters – Teresa Leach,    Donna Smith. Sons – Greg Russell Stone of Weatherford, Jeff Stone of Buckley, Washington, Step Son – William Smith. Sisters – June White of Mineral Wells                Ilona Steele of Paris, Texas. Brother – Donald Stone of San Antonio, 11 Grandchildren   6 Great Grandchildren. 
Funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Monday, September 1, 2008 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Private Interment will be in the DFW National Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Leukemia and Lynphoma Society, Donor Services, P. O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202 . Visitation will be 7-9 PM, Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the funeral home.
