James Allen Heaslet

James Allen Heaslet, 91, formerly of Weatherford, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020, in Quinlan, Texas.

James was born November 28, 1928, in Fort Worth, Texas to James Henry and Mae Heaslet. He married Betty Jo Baker on June 8, 1949, and together had five children. His family moved to Weatherford in 1965 and for the past few years has lived in east Texas. He was a self-employed cement contractor. He was a Shriner and a Mason. He enjoyed outdoor activities including fishing and camping. James particularly enjoyed time spent with friends and with his beloved family.

James is survived by his wife of 71 years, Betty Jo Heaslet; his daughters, Estha and husband Robert Shiflet of Weatherford, Texas, Karen Hodson of Fort Myers, Florida, Cindy and husband Tod Wojciechowski of Ocala, Florida, and Jane and husband Taffy Jones of Quinlan, Texas; by 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; by his brothers J.T. Heaslet and Alfred Heaslet; his sisters, Helen Colley, Julia Mae Terrell, and Irene Boothe; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Heaslet; brother, Charlie Heaslet and sister, Ethel Wood.
