Jacquie Lynn Holder

Jacquie Lynn Barton Holder was a loving mother, nana, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She left this world suddenly on Monday, June 13, 2022, at age 70, at her residence in Weatherford, after an acute battle with cancer.

She had been a para-professional for Weatherford ISD for the last 19 years after several years of being a volunteer. She worked on every campus at some point over the years and made numerous close friends with coworkers, as well as past students. She especially loved working at the NGC over this past year.

Ms. Holder was involved in many things over the years with her children and grandchildren. She was a Brownie Troup Leader, Soccer Coach, Team mom, PTA member, Room mom, Rodeo mom, and enjoyed watching her grandchildren in baseball, softball, dance, and horse-riding events.

Ms. Holder was born at Weatherford Hospital December 09, 1951, to Vaudine Gibson Barton and George Lynn Barton, Jr., but grew up in Granbury, TX. She was very much a Daddy’s girl! She married Louis Ray Nichols in 1970 where she then became a lifelong resident of Parker County. She later married Jerry Don Holder in 1989 until 2008.

Jacquie had three children; her daughter Renee Nichols Prewett of Weatherford; her son Joshua Holder and wife Carley of Weatherford; and son Jody Nichols of NRH. Her grandchildren are Ryan Nichols, Shelby Prewett, Katelynn Prewett and fiancé’ Michael Steward, Shady Holder, Sky Holder, and Abbey Nichols. Her great grandchildren are Maveryk Nichols, Kymber Nichols and bonus greatgranddaughters Kamryn Loper and Ally Loper. She has three brothers Dennis Barton and wife Gina of Weatherford, William Barton and wife Amanda of Ft Worth, Bubba James and wife Jeni of Paducah, and two sisters Margaret Smith of Keller and Cyndi Campbell of Meridian, a sister-in-law, Donna Chane of Weatherford, as well as her bonus mom Helen Barton of Weatherford. She also has a whole herd of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she considered family and loved dearly.

Visitation: Sunday, June 19 from 4-6 pm.
Funeral: Monday, June 20 at 10:30 a.m.
Officiant: Ricky Howell-Both will be held at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel 913 N. Elm Street Weatherford, TX. 76086.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Hwy 51, Granbury, TX.
Pallbearers: Ryan Nichols, Jon Lynn Hunter, Brad Barton, Justin Cloud, Hunter Perkins, and Jason Holder.
