Jack David Fundis

August 25, 1976 — September 23, 2021

On September 23rd, the world lost an amazing, if somewhat chatty, soul. After a three year battle with cancer, Jack David Fundis, age 45, died peacefully at home with his wife. Jack was known for his verbose ways and loyal spirit. He never met a person he couldn’t talk to, and was always there to help someone in need. If Jack David didn’t talk to you, we can pretty much guarantee that he didn’t like you.

Jack is survived by his wife, Erica Fundis. He is also survived by two sons,Tyler and Dylan; parents Angel and Bill Fundis; siblings Will Fundis, Debbie Angeles, Ruthie Rich, Christine Fundis, Michael Fundis, Sarah Rudkin, and Rachel Fundis; and various nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Fundis.

Jack was a big hearted, goofy, protective, Steeler loving, poker player who never had any problem separating you from your money at the poker table. He was born in Houston on August 25th, graduated from Weatherford High School in 1996 with his lifelong friend and fellow trouble maker, Sean Gendron, and married the love of his life, Erica, in 2009. Most days you could find Jack working at the Blue Beacon* and conversing with coworkers, employees, customers and pretty much anyone who walked in the door. When he wasn’t at work, Jack spent his time getting in trouble with his brothers and Sean, traveling with his wife, gaming with his boys, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play football with his Dad.

Although Jack had a shorter than expected life span, he lived a very full life. He was well loved and will be sorely missed. Since Jack can no longer take your money playing poker, a memorial fund has been set up in his honor:

*Special thanks to the Blue Beacon for knowing the gem they had and supporting him throughout this battle.
