Ida Mae Young

Ida Mae Young, 86, of Weatherford, passed away on Saturday morning, April 4, 2020, at Holland Lake Nursing Home in Weatherford. A graveside committal service has taken place at Memory Gardens west of Weatherford.

Ida Mae was born on April 18, 1933, in Fredricksburg, Texas to Boies and Augusta Bailey. She married Jack Young and together had three children, Paula, Karen and Donald. Ida worked as a nurse at Palo Pinto Nursing Facility and at Keenland Nursing Home in Weatherford. Most recently, she worked at the Walmart in Weatherford. She enjoyed watching her Soaps and sewing. Most of all, Ida will be remembered for her devotion to her children and to her family.

Ida is survived by her children, Paula Young, Karen Henderson, and Donald Young all of Weatherford; and by her sister, Ruth Moore.

In addition to her parents, Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Young; her grandson, Charles Christopher Burns, Jr.; and by her siblings, Elva Davis and Kenneth Bailey.
