Gregory Scott Cole

Gregory Scott Cole, 63, passed from this life on Saturday, December 17, 2022. Greg was born November 29, 1959, in Fort Worth, Texas to Robert Lawson Cole and Alma Jo (Haney) Cole. Greg worked for Coles Nursery in Weatherford, Texas. He enjoyed meeting new people, and had a vibrant personality. Greg was an avid sports fan; he was a collector of sports jerseys and shirts, enjoyed playing mini-golf, and watching the American TV sitcom The Andy Griffith Show. His favorite character was Gomer Pyle, the simple-minded gas station attendant and later auto mechanic, played by Jim Nabors. Greg always maintained a curious, positive outlook on life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Greg is survived by his father, Robert Lawson Cole; sister, Kristi Ogle and her husband, Joe; aunts; uncles; and numerous cousins.

Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Alma Jo (Haney) Cole.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.

The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at the funeral chapel.
