Grady Truman Mills

Grady Truman Mills, 89, entered his Heavenly home on February 3, 2023, just 10 days short of his 90th birthday. Grady was born February 13, 1933, in Joaquin, Texas to Alfred and Della Mills.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Bobbie Mills and his 2nd wife, Donnya Mills, as well as his parents, one brother, Clum Mills, three sisters, Floread Elliott and husband, Jimmy, Emma Gates and husband, J.T. and Addie (Baby) Ruth Luman and husband John.

Grady is survived by his daughters, Delene Smith of Aledo, Texas, Darlene Cook and husband Galen of Poolville, Texas and Diana Mills of Poolville, Texas; two grandsons, Casey Cook and wife Casie Jo of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Jake Mills of Midland, Texas; four great-grandchildren, “Hoss” Kinsler Ryan Cook and “The Little Pony” Kinslei RaeAnn Cook of Midwest City, Oklahoma, “The Hoss” Grady Dean Mills of Midland and “Little Hoss” Wyatt Richard Colestock of Toledo, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Ann Mills of Carthage, Texas and Connie Henry of Weatherford, Texas.

Grady served as a Sergeant in the United States Army. He was drafted on August 19, 1953, to serve in the Korean War. Grady was very proud to be a life-long truck driver who traveled through every state in the United States and parts of Canada. He was an expert mechanic and could fix just about anything.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Daddy’s Caregiver, Diana Phillips, Tammy Ashcraft and the nursing staff at Hilltop Rehabilitation Facility, with a special thank you to Donovan White and Valor Hospice.

Services will be with internment at Reeves Cemetery in Logan, Texas.
