Grady H Wright

Grady Herman Wright, 93, of Weatherford passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019. Visitation: 10 am, Tuesday, March 19, 2019 in the Tin Top Church of Christ with service to follow at 11am. Grady was born March 23, 1925 in Vera, Texas to John and Ella Mae Barham Wright. He grew up in Weatherford, where he was a longtime member of Couts Memorial United Methodist Church. In 1947, Grady married the love of his life, Bobbie Caraway, in the old Couts Church, which is now Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Home. Grady was a purchasing manager for Energetics Corp at the time of his retirement. He also worked for Chevron, Champlin Petroleum, and Florida Gas Corp throughout his career. In 1986 he retired back to Weatherford where he and Bobbie were happy to reunite with old friends and family. Grady loved hunting, fishing, taking yearly trips to Colorado and occasionally play golf. He was a devoted husband and a good hearted father with a strong hand. Grady was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jack Wright and in 2013 his loving wife Bobbie. He is survived by his son, Knox Wright and wife Elisa; granddaughters, Kendall Wright and husband Andy Peters and Erin Wright all of Houston; nephews, Stan Wright of Brownwood and John Wright of Weatherford.
